In this episode, Fiona Gruber, noted writer, arts journalist and podcaster speaks with Dr Annabelle Bennett, AC SC. Dr Bennett joined the Bar in 1980 where she developed a speciality in intellectual property. In 1994 she took silk and in 2003, was appointed to the Federal Court. Since leaving the court, Dr Bennett has served as Chancellor of Bond University and as an Arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The interviews cover the career of the subject before, during and after their incumbency as a Federal Court Judge. Subjects include notable cases, judgments, and the pathways taken to a career in the law, including childhood, education and mentorship.
