Case search (for public users)


Federal Law Search available via the Commonwealth Courts Portal,  provides selected information on cases filed in the:

  • Federal Court of Australia
  • General Federal Law jurisdiction of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

It includes all Federal Court cases that have commenced since 1 January 1984.
Access is open to members of the public.

NOTE: Cases where a pseudonym has been assigned to a party are not searchable in Federal Law Search.

To see your court files, listings events and access s eLodged documents you  must log in to the Commonwealth Courts Portal.
Registration is required.

Tracking a case

Everyone is able to track activity in a court matter through the Commonwealth Courts Portal, once logged in.
