In this episode, Fiona Gruber, noted writer, arts journalist and podcaster speaks with Susan Kiefel AC KC.
Susan Kiefel was admitted to the Queensland Bar in 1975 and in 1984 completed a Master of Laws at the University of Cambridge in the UK. She was the first woman in Queensland to be appointed Queen's Counsel.
Susan Kiefel was appointed to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1994 and was a judge of the Federal Court from 1994 until 2007. She was then appointed to the High Court of Australia and in 2017 became its 13th Chief Justice, the first woman to hold that position.
