The Court has published the next podcast in the series, "Lives and Times of the Judges".

In this episode, Fiona Gruber, noted writer, arts journalist and podcaster speaks with Jeffrey Spender KC.

Jeffrey Spender joined the Queensland Bar in 1967 and was a leader of the Queensland criminal bar before branching into other areas. He was appointed to the Federal Court in 1984 and served as Acting Chief Justice on several occasions.  He was also a Judge of the Industrial Relations Court of Australia, a presidential member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and acted as an Additional Judge of the Supreme Court of the ACT.

The interviews cover the career of the subject before, during and after their incumbency as a Federal Court Judge. Subjects include notable cases, judgments, and the pathways taken to a career in the law, including childhood, education and mentorship.
