Notice to the Profession

National General Protection List - Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth)

11 June 2025

On 24 July 2024, the Court published a Notice to the Profession outlining the background, purpose and process for commencing a pilot program of the National General Protections List, which commenced on 1 September 2024.

Following the initial eight month period, the Court will be extending the pilot program for an additional three months, until September 2025. This extension aims to gather further feedback from the profession, Judges and Registrars regarding the List.

The Court will provide further updates regarding the pilot program in due course.
