Nye Perram was appointed to the Federal Court on 8 August 2008.
He graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws and from the University of Oxford with a Bachelor of Civil Law. He practised as a barrister in New South Wales from 1993 and was appointed senior counsel in 2006. At the time of his appointment he was a member of the Law and Justice Foundation and the New South Wales Bar Council.
Justice Perram’s chambers are staffed by two associates. Each position is typically of 12 months’ duration. Justice Perram has two vacant associate positions, with one starting in May 2023 and the other in January 2024.
Justice Perram will be taking associateship applications for these positions between 1 February 2022 and 31 March 2022, with a view to interviewing applicants and making offers in early to mid-April. Please be aware that Justice Perram may also appoint associates for later periods during the selection process.
