Nye Perram was appointed to the Federal Court on 8 August 2008.
He graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws and from the University of Oxford with a Bachelor of Civil Law. He practised as a barrister in New South Wales from 1993 and was appointed senior counsel in 2006. At the time of his appointment he was a member of the Law and Justice Foundation and the New South Wales Bar Council.
Justice Perram’s chambers are staffed by two associates. Each position is of flexible duration but of at least 12 months’ duration. The next vacant associate position will commence in mid-2021.
Justice Perram will be taking associateship applications between Wednesday 1 January 2020 and Friday 28 February 2020 with a view to interviewing applicants and making offers in mid-March 2020. Please be aware that Justice Perram ordinarily selects multiple applicants during each selection process (i.e. applications for a 2022 position or later will be considered during this period).
