Justice Shariff was admitted in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2001. Justice Shariff was called to the Bar in 2007 and took Silk in 2020.
In 2000, Justice Shariff graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Economics (Social Sciences) and Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours). Justice Shariff then practised as a solicitor at Clayton Utz and also at Allens Arthur Robinson (as it was then named).
At the Bar, Justice Shariff practised in a broad range of areas with a particular focus on employment and industrial law, corporate law, equity, regulatory prosecutions, as well as white collar criminal prosecutions and counter-terrorism matters.
Associateship applications
Justice Shariff has appointed his Associate for 2025. His Honour is currently considering applications for the position commencing in January 2026, which should be submitted by no later than 21 February 2025.
