Changes to 'My Details': integration of the Federal Court of Australia online applications

As part of our continual improvements to the services provided to Court users, the Federal Court has integrated eCourtroom and eLodgment to provide single sign-on to registered users. This means that a user can access both services with the one username and password.

In addition, participants in an eCourtroom can now file documents via eLodgment from within an eCourtroom discussion. Once the documents have been accepted for filing by the Court, the documents can be read or downloaded from within the particular eCourtroom discussion as well as via eLodgment.

To facilitate the single sign-on functionality existing users of eLodgment will be prompted to update two additional name fields in theMy Details section the next time they use eLodgment. Please provide this information and click on update, prior to continuing with eLodgment.

Generic / team usernames*

Name fields (First Name, Last Name) are now mandatory for all usernames. Organisations currently using generic or team based usernames may like to take this opportunity to register team members individually. Alternatively, you may retain the generic username(s) and enter the Team Leader/ Manager's name into the fields.

Please note that Generic / Team Usernames cannot be used by participants in eCourtroom.

eCourtroom users

eCourtroom Users are required to have a unique personal user name with a unique individual email address attached.

System maintenance

  • While all efforts will be made to minimise the disruption to it's online services, the Court has a maintenance window every Saturday morning when essential 'housekeeping' work is carried out. This may cause intermittent disruptions to online services. If there is major work required involving a complete outage to any service, a notice will be posted on the login screen in advance.
