Media Statement
10 August 2026
The Federal Court of Australia Listed Entity has identified and corrected a payroll configuration issue affecting some casual employees who recorded fewer than four hours on their timesheets. In those instances, employees were not paid the four-hour minimum engagement entitlement required under the relevant enterprise agreements.
The issue was identified through improved payroll assurance and control procedures. It affected 152 former and 96 current employees of the Listed Entity after August 2018. The average gross underpayment per employee is approximately $219, excluding interest, with total remediation payments of approximately $77,000, including superannuation and interest.
The Listed Entity regrets these payments were not made in accordance with the relevant enterprise agreements. The Listed Entity will continue to review and enhance its payroll controls to ensure its systems and processes are effective and compliant with legislative and policy requirements.
Relevant oversight agencies have been notified, the payroll issue has been corrected, and the Listed Entity is now focused on the timely payment of outstanding entitlements to affected current and former employees.
Journalists and media representatives should direct all enquiries to the Federal Court of Australia's media team.
