John Leslie Snaden was appointed to the Federal Court of Australia on 29 April 2019.

Justice Snaden graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1999 with an LLB and BCom (General Management). Upon graduating, he was admitted to practice as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2000. Between 2000 and 2005, he practiced as a solicitor, first at Tanya Cirkovic & Associates, and later at Clayton Utz.

Prior to accepting his appointment, Justice Snaden was a member of the Victorian Bar, where he practiced principally in industrial relations and employment law. His practice spanned the breadth of the country, across all jurisdictions.

Associateship

Justice Snaden generally appoints associates for 12-month periods.
