Activities by area of expertise - Professional development

The Federal Court works with a variety of common and civil law jurisdictions and with judicial and court officers who have not had the opportunity to undertake formal legal training or ongoing judicial education. Training conducted by and on behalf of the Federal Court has included a broad range of substantive legal and procedural areas along with judicial orientation, judgment writing and decision-making skills. The Federal Court also supports Train-the-Trainer programs to build the capacity of judges and court officials in the Pacific region to assess training needs, design and deliver training programs.
