Activities in the Marshall Islands

The Marshall Islands judiciary has been involved in the AusAID funded, Pacific Regional Mediation Program in 2009 and the Pacific Judicial Development Programme (PJDP).

In January 2013, as part of the PJDP, judges and probation officers from both the Federated States of Micronesia and the Marshall Islands participated in a workshop on sentencing. The training focused on sentencing in criminal cases, pre-sentence reporting and probation issues. Further details of activities run by the PJDP can be found on the Programme website.
