Appointment of Deputy Principal Registrar

11 December 2025

The Chief Justice is pleased to announce that Nicola Colbran has been appointed as Deputy Principal Registrar (DPR) of the Federal Court and commenced in the position on 17 November 2025.

The functions of the DPR include overarching management of Registrars and the legal staff who support Registrars across the Federal Court. The position also supports the Chief Justice and CEO/Principal Registrar with the establishment and delivery of key initiatives and objectives across the Court and its operations, and assists the Chief Justice and CEO/Principal Registrar with the coordination and management of the Federal Court budget.
