Watch Selected Hearings Online
The Federal Court has an ongoing commitment to providing access to justice by making available selected proceedings, including matters of high public interest, through livestream or remote access technology.
To check whether a proceeding can be watched online, check the Daily Court Lists, which are updated every afternoon for the next business day.
How to watch a livestream
1. Check Daily Court Lists for the time the hearing is due to commence.
2. At the scheduled time, go to the Federal Court's YouTube channel and click on the 'Live' tab . The hearing will display. If not, check again closer to the hearing time.
Please note it is not possible to watch a hearing after it has ended.
How to watch a remote access hearing
Procedures for joining a remote access hearing are published in the Daily Court Lists, below each case name.
Future hearings
To see hearing dates beyond the next business day, look up the proceeding in Federal Law Search. Alternatively you can subscribe to track a case.
Dates are subject to change and should be checked closer to the hearing date.
Note: The use of recording and transmission devices on Court premises or in Court hearings, irrespective of whether that hearing is heard in person, using remote access technology or a combination of both is strictly prohibited, without express approval of the Court. Failure to comply may constitute an offence.
