Digitisation

The digitisation stream focuses on strengthening how Pacific courts use and manage existing systems, while supporting a gradual transition toward greater independence and sustainability. Recognising that courts already operate case management systems but often face challenges around usage, data quality and reliance on external technical support, APJP prioritises practical improvements in day‑to‑day operations alongside longer‑term digital governance and planning. Through regional workshops and targeted support, courts will be supported to better understand their systems, improve data use for performance, and identify pathways to increased control and digital sovereignty. This approach balances the need to maintain system stability with building the knowledge, practices and frameworks required for sustainable, locally managed digital environments.
