Annual Fee Changes from 1 July 2019

The Federal Court and Federal  Circuit Court Regulation 2012 (the Regulation) prescribes court fees  for proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia and in general federal law  matters in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia.

Regulation 2.20 of the  Regulation provides for an annual increase in the fees mentioned in Schedule 1  of the Regulation (except in relation to items 102 to 104, 107, 124, 202, 209,  210 and 220).  This increase is next due to take effect on 1 July 2019.

The prospective Federal Court  fees, other than fees for filing an application under section 539 of the Fair  Work Act, were published in the Commonwealth’s Government Notices Gazette on 4  June 2019.
