Entry
of consent orders
Under Order 35, rule 10, a
consent order may be filed in this Registry. If a Judge or Registrar
directs that an order in terms of the consent be made, the order is
drawn up, signed and sealed (entered).
1. Many consent orders are
word processed and with very little additional expense can be also
provided to the Registry in a form suitable for entry. The entered
order must follow Form
47 and state that the order is made by consent.
2. When filing a consent
order, parties are encouraged to also lodge in the Registry a draft of
the consent order in a form suitable for entry. This will expedite the
entry of the order and the return of sealed copies to the parties.
