Catherine Margaret Branson was appointed to the Federal Court in May 1994. She was at that time one of Her Majesty’s counsel practising at the Adelaide Bar.
She graduated from the University of Adelaide as Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws and for two years taught full-time at the University of Adelaide Law School. Between 1984-1989 she was Crown Solicitor of South Australia and Chief Executive Officer of the Attorney-General’s Department (SA).
