Copyright Tribunal

The Copyright Tribunal was established
under Part VI of the Copyright
Act 1968. It has the power to:
- inquire into the amount of royalty
payable in respect of the recording of musical works;
- inquire into the amount of royalty
payable in respect of the recording of musical works;
- fix royalties or equitable remuneration
in respect of compulsory licences;
- arbitrate disputes in relation to
the terms of existing and proposed licensing schemes;
- deal with applications for the granting
of licences.
